Open Houses

Springtime Open House: This event includes not only the Cottage, Clubhouse and Mineyard Living History programs but features the grounds and the gardens at their best. In 2008 it will be held on Mother's Day, May 11th from 11:00 to 4:00.


The Emerald Mists


Holiday Open House: (Friday & Saturday - Thankgiving Weekend ) You're invited for a special tour through the beautiful Bourn Cottage and Clubhouse. Holiday adornments and volunteers in period dress provide a warm glimpse of Christmas yesteryears. Visit Santa and his helpers at the Clubhouse, then call upon the Bourn's and staff at the Cottage for cookies and hot apple cider. Delight in the spectacular fall colors as you stroll the picturesque grounds and gardens. Visit the historic Mineyard as volunteers portray workers of the past and enact a working day at the mine. Tour the Machine and Wood Shop, the Blacksmith Shop, the Compressor House,the Hoist House and the mine shaft.
