Discover a treasure trove of
surprises in our popular Gift Shop
Fossils from all over the world … plus wind chimes made from minerals, sherry glasses, jewelry boxes, bowls and platters – these are just a few of the unusual souvenirs you’ll see on display. Other favorite mementoes are gold-leaf vials, jewelry and gold specimens of varying sizes and prices.
Our book shelves feature books on gold-mining (and the characters who shaped our history). You’ll also find books on minerals and local hiking – plus colorful children’s books that make our history come to life. You can even find a booklet with a recipe for making a genuine Cornish pastie. Other booklets and maps will tell you more about the gardens and grounds, as well as the history of Empire Mine State Historic Park.
Posters, hats, t-shirts and other exclusive items will make your day at Empire Mine last forever. Bottled water is also sold in the Gift Shop
Friendly volunteers will help you make the perfect choice. Open most days (except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas and New Year’s Day), the times are subject to change, based on our volunteers’ availability. (Mid-day is almost always a good time to visit.)
All profits go to supporting Empire Mine’s interpretive programs and facility improvements.
Fascinating and full of fun, a visit to the Gift Shop is an essential part of your Empire experience.
Cash, checks and credit cards accepted. Please call the Park to confirm Gift Shop hours, as the Gift Shop is not always open during Park hours.
